A Mubaarak Maut!

A Mubaarak Maut Witnessed In Marlboro

The Qur’an Majeed clearly states, “Every soul shall taste death”.

In this week, news of the passing away of a brother in Marlboro was circulated. Truly, the death of the fortunate brother has left each one of us with subtle messages. We need to be concerned about our death, as to how will it be, etc.

The Marhoom, as per the message, ‘collapsed’ in the Esha Salaah, on Wednesday night. After a while, it was conformed that he has left this temporary abode. Inna-lillaahi-Wa-Innaa-ilaihi-Raaji’oon.

Let us briefly note the Blessings in the Maut of this brother:

  1. In the Masjid
  2. In the state of Wudhu
  3. In Salaah
  4. Facing the Qiblah
  5. In the Saff
  6. While listening to Qur’an Majeed
  7. Among Muslim men, engaged in Salaah
  8. Amidst how many Huffaaz, Ulama and pious Muslims
  9. In the company of the Angels

Mubaarak for such a Blessed Maut! May Allah Ta’ala elevate the Marhoom’s Stages in Jannat and grant Sabrun-Jameel to his family, Aameen.

None of us are aware as to where our death will come, amidst what type of people and in which condition. That is why it is important to constantly make Du’a for Husne-Khaatimah (a beautiful ending/death).

Another extremely important lesson men have to take from the Marhoom’s Blessed Maut is the punctuality of Jamaat Salaah in the Masjid. The Marhoom WAS IN the Masjid, in Salaah already, when he collapsed.

Thus, we must be punctually on time for each Salaah. We should not habitually miss Rak’aats. If for instance Fajr Salaah is at 05:00, and our death is decreed for 05:01, then if one is punctually on time for Jamaat Salaah, death will find one in the similar Blessed conditions as the Marhoom! And if one is not punctual with Jamaat Salaah, then death can find us outside the Masjid, instead of inside the Masjid! May Allah Ta’ala open our eyes to take the lessons the Marhoom’s death has left us with, Aameen.
