Deen Team’s Movie So-Called ‘Umrah’ Outing – Total Desecration & Mockery Of The Sacred Lands!
“Whoever intends to unjustly perpetrate an act of irreligiousness there (in the Haram Shareef), We shall let him taste a painful punishment.” (Surah Hajj, Aayat 25)
The Deen Team’s December 2025 Umrah trip is that of videos, rendering their entire Umrah into a movie-making outing! ALL types of animate photos and videos are Haraam! Committing such open Haraam in the Holy Haram Sareef or its precincts is indeed a wholesale desecration of the Sanctity of the Haram Shareef! The above Aayat should suffice as a severe warning for indulging in sins in and near the Sacred Haram. Furthermore, all animate picture-making is termed as Haraam by the unanimous Fatwa of the Darul-Ulooms of South Africa. See the attached unanimous view of these Great Luminaries of South Africa on the last page.
Yes, the modern-minded JUSA-UUCSA-MJC-Darul Ihsan kind scholars have deviated from this 1400-year-old unanimous Fatwa to water down Islam and to set up the accursed stage for Dajjaal.
Let us now detail the gravity of the Deen Team’s movie-making so-called ‘Umrah’ outing of videos, You-Tube, etc.
Committing sins in the Haram Shareef and its precincts:
وَمَن يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍۭ بِظُلْمٍۢ نُّذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍۢ
In this Aayat, the word ‘Ilhaad’ is used. This word literally means ‘deviation from the right path’. Some Mufassireen have used this meaning and have included all sins; so much so that even hurling abuse to one’s servant in the Haram Shareef (and its precincts) falls under the warning of ‘Ilhaad’ – committing a sin. It is mentioned regarding Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) that whenever he went for Hajj, he would set up two tents – one within the Boundary of the Haram and the other outside the Boundary. Whenever the need arose for him to scold anyone, he would do so in the tent he had set up outside the Boundary of the Haram Shareef. When he was asked about this, he replied that the words ‘Kallaa Wallaahi’, and ‘Balaa Wallaahi’ [words used when a person is usually angry – according to the usage of the language by the Arabs] also constitutes ‘Ilhaad fil Haram’ – committing a sinful act in the Haram Shareef.
According to Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas’ood (Radhiyallahu anhu), a sin intended anywhere does not constitute a sin unless it is actually committed. However, within the Boundaries of the Haram Shareef, even an intention of committing a sin is punishable, as if one has committed the sin! Imaam Qurtubi (Rahimahullah) has referenced this to be the view of Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu). The point is, such Great Personalities from the Galaxy of the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum) proffered this warning, which truly brings to light the Sacredness of the Haram Shareef. It is not a place enroute to which one should be making a movie of one’s trip, like the Deen Team’s youth are doing! It deserves a High Level of Adab, or else the entire Umrah trip will be a mockery and a disaster, bereft of any semblance of Spirituality!
Other Mufassireen have noted that this word (‘Ilhaad’) refers to entering the Haram Shareef without Ihraam. And also, it refers to hunting an animal or cutting a tree within the Haram Shareef. All these various interpretations can be summed down to one word which is ‘disrespect’. In short, no disrespect should be done in the Haram Shareef, and the objective of going to the Haram Shareef should be concentrated on.
Note the Tafseer states that ‘hunting’ or ‘cutting a tree’ should be avoided. Are these actions permissible or impermissible? Yet, the Adab demanded by the Sacred Land of the Haram Shareef is that such activities, though totally permissible, should not be done. Now what can be said about a team of youngsters and a ‘Shaykh’ making movies of their trip, whether in the Haram Shareef, its precincts or on their way to/from Makkah Mukarramah, the Cave of Hira, etc.?
The specific reference of the ‘Haram Shareef’ in the Aayat mentioned above points out to the fact that just as good deeds are rewarded manifold in the Haram Shareef, sins committed there will attract severe Azaab. (Ma’riful Qur’an)
Umrah Vlog, You-Tube videos and picture-making are Total Ilhaad – Deviation from the right path – the Path which conforms to the unanimous Fatwa of the Darul-Ulooms of South Africa regarding TV [You-Tube can definitely be included]! If in the above Tafseers we read that merely using words such as ‘Kallaa/Balaa Wallaahi’ which basically means ‘I swear by Allah’, was treated with extreme caution as not to come within the Aayat warning of ‘Ilhaad’ (sinning) within the Haram Shareef, then what can be said of going against so many Ahaadith that clearly warn of the severest Azaab for those who take pictures? And what can be said of being enroute to such a Mubaarak Place, while videos are made out of the different stages of the trip? And what can be said when the senior Ulama of major Darul-Ulooms’ unanimous Fatwa is that of videos, TV, pictures, etc. to be totally Haraam and sinful?
Shocking Information Of The Deen Team’s Haraam Umrah Trip – Music In Their Video/s!
A Brother writes: Assalaamo-Alaykum. What can I tell you about this group of youth gone for umrah? Their Vlog You-Tube videos are going around on WhatsApp. In the one about the ‘climbing to the cave of hira’ video, music is played in the video. The video shows these youth together with their shaykh, seated at tables and chairs for meals. This is so sad because all this is done under the banner of a deeni umrah trip. What deen will this youth come back with, if they have not learnt the sunnah method of having meals, despite going so close to Rasoolullahi (Swallallaho alayhiwasallam), physically? Brothers who go first time in jamaat, return home with this and many other sunnats they have adopted, shining from every pore from their bodies! Despite the jamaat being local, not even coming so close to madeenah munawwarah, however, the sunnats have entered their lives and their families’ lives. And these youth, despite going for umrah, they have been exposed to a western style which Rasoolullahi (Swallallaho alayhiwasallam) doesn’t approve of.
This is really sad. Please make Du’a for my hidaayet. Jazakallah. Wassalaam!
This team called ‘Deen Team’ is indeed a team that is to do with anti-Deen! As parents, keep your sons far away from them, just as you keep them away from bad characters. Associating with this group is bad for the Deen and the understanding of the Deen of your sons.
Now read the unanimous Fatwa which was issued more than a decade ago, regarding TV. This is issued by Senior Luminaries of our country, who tread on the Path of the Sunnah. This Fatwa is the Fatwa which unites the Ulama, because it conforms to the Shari’ah!
Any other opinion contrary to this is an opinion befitting the bin! Thus, TV-type and You-Tube-type scholars who are associated with the ‘Deen’ Team are opposers of the Shari’ah!
