‘Izzlamic’ Radios Hajj Broadcast

A Moulana Saahib forwarded to us the following message which we reproduce verbatim hereunder. We agree 100% to whatever is stated in the message!

For Islamic radio stations to produce videos and photography from the mubaarak lands of Makkah Mukarramah, Madinah Munawwarah, Mina, Arafaat, etc. interviewing women and showing close ups of people involved in the various ibaadah of Haj is absolutely disgraceful. It incorporates so many sins.

Firstly, there is the haraam aspect of photography.

Secondly, the faces of women who are interviewed can be seen and their voices heard by strange men.

Thirdly, videos showing the gait, gestures and movements of women arouse the desires of men.

Fourthly, photography and videos intrude upon the privacy of sincere Hujjaaj who are focussing upon their ibaadah.

Fifthly, an ibaadah which is supposed to be intensely personal has now become a public show ruining the rewards of Hujjaaj.

Sinning anywhere is wrong, but sinning in the mabaarak lands compounds the wrong.

It is worse when Ulama are at the forefront of encouraging wrongs.

May Allah show us the right as right and enable us to follow it; and may Allah show us the wrong as wrong and enable us to abstain from it.
