The ‘Seerah Jalsah’ – An Annual ‘Sting’
Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) warned the Ummah:
“A believer is NOT stung twice out of the same hole.” (Bukhari)
In Dunya-matters we ensure to enforce this Teaching of the Hadith Shareef meticulously. If a certain business deal turned sour previously which made us ‘burn our fingers’, then if it is again proposed, will any sane and intelligent businessman fall for the scam again? This can be applied to so many Dunya-matters. If a certain mechanic/electrician/plumber/carpenter/builder did us down, will we call him again? Thus, precaution should be given even more importance to in Deeni matters, which are far more important than Dunya-matters!
The fact is that the so-called “Seerah Jalsah” which is generally held at Nurul-Islam has propagated much modernism and westernism. Under the innocent guise of the name ‘Seerah’, a wholesale watering down of the Deen has been made. Lengthy Arabic citations are quoted by the recently graduated ‘Mufti’ and others, to water down the unanimous 1400-year-old view on the prohibition of photography and other Shar’i matters. With [perhaps crocodile] tears in his eyes, this newly graduated ‘Mufti’ cried to parents to send their precious, supposed to be Purdah Nasheen (strict Shar’i Hijaab) and Hayaa-demanding daughters to the dens and beds of Zina, dubbed as ‘universities’.
The so-called “Seerah Jalsahs”, held annually, are extremely problematic. The speakers themselves are that of liberal and modern inclinations. How can a believer fall again for this trap that jeopardizes his understanding of the Deen as it ought to be?
And the UK imported speaker that is going to attend this coming so-called “Seerah Jalsah” has certain practices which are against the Shari’ah. His free mixing – delivering talks – in the presence of non-Mahram women – face-to-face, with NO screen or segregation – is just one such poisonous sting that will poison the entire “Seerah Jalsah” and its audience.
May Allah Ta’ala protect every Mu’min from ever attending such poison-to-Deen programs under the misuse of the Mubaarak Seerah of Rasoolullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) wherefrom the Muslims are ‘stung’ annually, to replace their Shar’i understandings with modernism and Dajjaalism – to set the accursed stage for Dajjaal, in a subtle manner – Aameen.
