Laylatul-Qadr – Explained From The Hadith

Hazrat Ubaadah bin Saamit (Radhiallahu anhu) reports that he asked Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) about Laylatul Qadr.

He (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) replied: “It is in Ramadhaan, during the last ten days, on the unevenly numbered nights, either the 21st 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th or the last night of Ramadhaan.

Whosoever stands in Ibaadah on this night, with sincere faith (Imaan) and with genuine hopes of gaining reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.

Among the signs of this night is that:

1) It is a serene, quiet, shining night

2) Neither hot, nor cold

3) The moon remains clear

4) No stars are flung at the Shayateen on that night until the break of dawn.

5) Another sign is that (on its morning) the sun rises without any radiant beams of light, appearing rather like the moon in it’s fullness.

On that day, Allah prohibits the Shayateen from rising up with the Sun.”
