Radio ‘Al-Ansaar’s’ Disservice To Deen

Radio ‘Al-Ansaar’s’ Open Disservice To Deen – Shameless Late-Night Program By Non-Experts In Fiqh!

The warning of Islam regarding the opinions in the matters of Deen and Fiqh presented by Juhhaal (ignoramuses and aunts): “Knowledge is indeed part of your religion (Deen). So be careful as to whom you accept your matters of Deen from.” (Muslim Shareef)

Saturday night, the 3rd of February 2024, marked a night in which disservice to the Deen was brazenly promoted by a radio station dubbed as Radio ‘Al-Ansaar’.

“Are woman allowed to pray in the Masjid” (sic), read the caption of their poster under the line “Night Line”. The following points should be noted in regard to this un-Islamic and Haraam program aired on its airwaves:

  1. Not a single Aalim of Deen was on the panel list.
  2. One of the host’s title is seen to be ‘Dr’. Yes, a Dr, NOT a Moulana!
  3. The ‘TIP Panel’ list was that of females ONLY – yes, aunts!

After gaining the above background to the Haraam program, now we can discuss the following:

  1. Just like the Dr would take offence if any Tom, Dick and Harry had to host a program on medicine with NO doctors on his panel, therefore, Mufti AK Hoosen Saahib had called in and proffered about 8-9mins of the Islamic viewpoint on ‘Women attending the Masjid’ – to set the records straight!
  2. It would had been extremely interesting to have known the answers to the following basic Islamic questions of the gentlemen and aunts of the program, to gauge their basics of Deen:

(This is to know their background on the basics of Deen because only people who are fit in Deen are allowed to discuss intricate Deeni Matters)

  • How many Faraa’idh of Ghusal are there?
  • What are they?
  • Explain the concept of ‘Istibraa’ after making Istinjaa.
  • How many Faraai’dh of Wudhu are there?
  • What are they?
  • Is the recitation of Surah Faatihah Nafl, Sunnah, Waajib or Fardh in Salaah, according to the Hanafi Mazhab?
  1. Noteworthy is the fact that the Shayaateen are released at night, from Maghrib time. Hence Islam teaches us to keep our children indoors at Maghrib time. The effects of the Shayaateen are witnessed throughout the entire night. Thus, rave clubs, hookah/vape lounges, Zina and all other evil takes place mostly at night. In the same note, Shaitaan has also cast his effects on gentlemen to host programs on radios whereby the entire Qur’anic Position of women (i.e. to stay at home) is destroyed!

Lastly, we leave you and especially Radio Al-Ansaar’s entire team – directors, managers, program hosts, etc. – with the following irrefutable Islamic Points as to WHY WOMEN CANNOT ATTEND THE MASAAJID:

  1. Hazrat Aisha (Radhiyallahu anha) said, “If Rasulullah (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) had observed that which women have now introduced (i.e. after the demise of Nabi Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam), he would have most certainly prevented them from attending the Masjid.”
  2. When Ameerul-Mu’mineen, Hazrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) enacted the prohibition to prevent women from going to the Masjid, they (the women) complained to Hazrat Aisha (Radhiyallahu anha). Answering their complaint, Hazrat Aisha said, “If Nabi (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) had known what Umar now knows (of the condition of women), he would not have granted you permission to emerge (i.e. to leave your homes and come to the Masjid for Salaat).”
  3. Hazrat Ibn Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) would go to the extent of pelting women with pebbles on Fridays in his effort to prevent them from the Masjid.

Hazrat Umar, Ibn Mas’ood, Ibn Umar, Aisha (Radhiyallahu anhum) in particular and the Sahaabah in general firmly forbade women from the Masaajid. Hence, it is abundantly clear from the statements and actions of the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum) that women possess no right to attend the Masjid for any Salaah.

  1. Hazrat ‘Allaamah ‘Aini who lived in the 8th century of Islam states: “If Hazrat Aisha could observe the innovations and evils which the women of this age (i.e. the 8th century) have introduced, her rejection (of women’s attendance to the Masjid) would be more vehement (forceful). The interval between the time of Hazrat Aisha’s rejection of this practice (of females attending the Masjid) and Rasulullah’s (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) demise is very little.”

“The wrongs which the women during the time of Hazrat Aisha had introduced were infinitesimal (little) compared to the evils which they have introduced in this time (viz. the 8th century).”

  1. According to the Shaafi’ee Mathab, the following is stated in Tuhfatul-Habeeb Alaa Sharhil-Khateeb by Hazrat Sulaiman Bujairmi (Rahmatullahi alaih): “Women should not attend (the Masjid) whether they are young or old for Jamaat (Salaah) because of the appearance of corruption (Fitnah)………Today the Fatwa is on total prohibition for all the Salaahs.”
  2. Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood (Radhiyallahu anhu) narrates that Nabi (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said,

“The Salaat of a woman in her bedroom is better than her Salaah in (another) room (of her house), and her Salaah in the innermost recess of her home is better than her Salaah in her room.” (Abu Dawood)

Imam Ahmad Bin Hambal and Tibraani (Rahmatullahi alaihima) record the Hadith of Umm-e-Humaid Sa’diyah who came to Nabi (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) and said,

“O Rasulullah! I love to perform Salaah behind you.”

Nabi (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) replied,

“I am aware of it. But, your Salaah in the innermost recess of your house is better than Salaah in (other places) of your house……”

Even in the Ahadith which record the initial permissibility, Nabi (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) stated the best course for women. Thus, Nabi (Sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said,

“Do not prevent your womenfolk from the Masjid, BUT their homes are best for them.” (Saheeh Muslim)

  1. Hazrat Hasan Basri (Rahmatullahi alaih) was once asked about a woman who took an oath to the effect that if her husband was released from prison, as a measure of thanks unto Allah, would perform two Rak’aats Salaah in every Masjid of the city of Basrah. Hazrat Hasan Basri commented,

“If Umar was here, he would have smashed her head.”

Muslims should not at all be duped by Radio Al-Ansaar’s Haraam program. The ruling of prohibition for women to attend the Masaajid remain perfectly intact, no matter who hosts what programs on whichever radios! No one can change the Islamic Ruling on the Prohibition of women attending the Masaajid!
