The Coronavirus Concern

QUESTION: Please find the news article/s on the latest coronavirus that has afflicted many in China and has spread to many other countries. In South Africa, Johannesburg and Cape Town airports are on high alert regarding this virus which has taken the lives of many people already. The airport officials are monitoring passengers coming in from Asia as to whether they have any signs of such viruses. The SA Health Department has confirmed this as per the news articles. As Muslims, what is your comment for us?

ANSWER: Firstly, Muslims who are trying to be obedient servants of Allah Ta’ala, lovers of His Beloved Rasool (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and who try to be staunch followers of the Divine Shari’at will have no real concern and ‘stress’, or ‘panic’ regarding this epidemic or plague that has afflicted several countries of the world. Such Muslims believe that Taqdeer can claim their lives through whatever means is destined for one. No medical aid (which is Haraam), no department of health and any other ways Insaan has put in place can avert this Decree of Allah Ta’ala (viz. Taqdeer). If one’s end is Decreed by this virus, none will be able to stop it. No health department will be able to protect one, nor will any hospital and doctor/s be of any use.

Secondly, as Muslims, we have solutions from the Qur’an Majeed, Hadeeth Shareef and powerful experiences of great, pious and close Friends of Allah Ta’ala of certain Aayaat, Azkaar, Du’as, Tasbeehs, etc. to recite for Divine Protection. Man-made protection measures are bound to fail. Divine Protection is Divine and never fails due to any technology or power failures, etc.

Herewith are few beneficial Azkaar to recite for general protection which include: plagues, robberies, accidents, etc.

  1. Aayatul-Kursi
  2. 3 Quls – 3 times each
  3. Surah Yusuf, Aayat 64.
  4. Obtain the Du’as for morning and evening and recite them daily

May Allah Ta’ala safeguard one and all, Aameen.

(Insha Allah, we will try to prepare a chart with the morning and evening Du’as. If you wish to receive it, write to us for a copy to be sent providing your e-mail address or WhatsApp number (depending where you wish to get it) so that we can send it to you as soon as it is ready. Request for Du’as.)
