FILL THE GAPS! – A Means Of Elevation In Jannah!

FILL THE GAPS! – The Manner Of The Malaaikah’s Sufoof By Allah Ta’ala!

Read the following three Ahaadith:

“Allah and His Angels send blessings upon those who complete the Sufoof (rows), and whoever FILLS A GAP, Allah will RAISEhim thereby (by) one degree in status (in Jannah).” (Ibn Maajah)

Hazrat Jaabir bin Samurah (Radhiyallahu anhu) said, “Allah’s Rasool came to us and said, ‘Will you not form Sufoof (rows) as the Angels form Sufoof by their Rabb? They (the Sahaabah) said, ‘How do the angels form Sufoof before their Rabb? He (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, ‘They complete the first Saff (row) and FILL THE GAPS in the Sufoof.’” (Nasaai and Muslim Shareef have similar wording)

Hazrat Anas bin Maalik (Radhiyallahu anhu) narrated, “Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) turned towards us when he stood up to perform Salaah, before the Takbeer (-e-Tahreemah), and said: ‘Make your Sufoof straight and FILL THE GAPS…” (Nasaai)

After reading the above three Ahaadith showing the importance and sounding the virtue (reward) for straightening and FILLING THE GAPS in the Saffs, can we still be in doubt whether social distancing in Salaah is permissible? The Kitaabs of Hadith have special chapters on this topic of straightening the Sufoof and FILLING the GAPS! We have merely provided just three of the many Ahaadith from the major Hadith Kitaabs as well as many other Hadith Kitaabs.

“There is no contagion (of disease)”, said Nabi Sallalalhu alaihi wasallam to those who claim that social distancing – especially in Salaah, will prevent the spread of this man-made virus!
