IMA’s Covid Posters – A Sad Reality!

Question: I have received a few posters issued by IMA / IMASA (Islamic Medical Association, of South Africa) on a social media platform which is run by Muslims. As expected, the posters are pro-covid related. For instance, IMASA says, ‘after direct contact with a positive case, quarantine and wait at least 5 days before getting tested’. ‘If one person in your home tests positive + for covid19 EVERYONE (written in red) must stay home!’, ‘BE RESPONSIBLE (written in red)…do the right thing’. The ironical one is, ‘TIE YOUR CAMEL (written in red) mask, social distance, sanitise, do everything you can to keep safe…’. Kindly comment on these posters as they are issued by a Muslim organisation and Muslims may just accept what is said and called for.

Answer: Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) mentioned how Muslims will follow the Kuffar ‘into the lizard’s hole’, in the following Hadith: “You will surely follow the same path as was followed by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the lizard’s hole, you would follow them (into the lizard’s hole). We (the Sahaabah) said: “O Allah’s Rasool! (Do you mean) the Jews and Christians?” He said: “Who else (other than those two religious groups)?” (Muslim Shareef)

Every Islamic organisation has to incumbently be governed and be aligned with the Shari’ah. It is Fardh for them to be governed by the Shari’ah, otherwise they can’t be an ‘Islamic’ organisation!

In the Shari’ah, there is no such nonsense of ‘contagious disease’ which the Kuffar belief and fear, and want others to also fear. Therefore, they shoot-up the stats of so-called ‘positive cases’ to start their ‘second-wave’ in order to insert Shaitaani fear into the hearts of man. May Allah Ta’ala disgrace them in their foolish plots in which even certain modern-thinking Muslims, Trustees, ‘Ulama’ and ‘Islamic’ organisations have entered with them ‘into the lizard’s hole’, Aameen.

In short, what IMA has published is nothing Islamic. If they had been following proper Islam – the unadulterated Islam taught to us by Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam – then they would had already stopped the fear-mongering of the Kuffar in the man-made ‘virus’. They would had declared loudly in ‘red writing’ the following, “No fear, the virus is not contagious as per the Divinely Governed words of Rasoolullah as narrated in Bukhari Shareef – ‘THERE IS NO CONTAGION’.”

If Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was alive today, would he approve of IMA’s posters? Would he approve the wearing of brain-damaging and inhumane masks and social distancing whereas many aspects in the Shari’ah are to do with meeting, holding, touching, etc.? Had IMA not made themselves sound like an ‘Islamic’ body, there was no need to even answer the query of the brother.
