The HARAAM and BAATIL ‘Ibaadur Rehmaan’ You-Tube Series During Lockdown of a ‘Moulana’ of ‘Jamiat Fordsburg’

QUESTION: Currently, during the lockdown, a Moulana of Jamiatul Ulama South Africa is running a video-series discussing the Tafseer of the Aayaat of the Quraan. At present, he is discussing ‘Ibaadur Rehmaan’. He conducts these lectures on a video and then uploads it on his Twitter account – for all to see. The Jamiatul Ulama South Africa’s Twitter account also retweets these videos of this Moulana, who is the secretary general of Jamiat. Something doesn’t seem correct to me in this. Please comment if I am right or wrong and must I follow and watch these video-Bayaans of this Moulana? Shukran.

ANSWER: Videos are HARAAM. ALL pictography are HARAAM. This Jamiat (Fordsburg) does not consider pictures and videos to be Haraam. In our Shari’at, pictures and videos of animate objects are HARAAM. We not sure which Shari’at Fordsburg Jamiat follows? Hence, their Ulama and secretary general openly, flagrantly and happily pose and capture their own videos and pictures and broadcast this SIN as you state “and then uploads it on his Twitter account”. All this is Haraam.

Don’t watch Haraam videos of any kind, especially of these Ulama and Jamiat members. Don’t follow their views and opinions, especially in Islamic matters. Make it incumbent on you to ONLY follow the Ulama-e-Haq. And there still are Ulama-e-Haq in our midst, Alhamdulillah.

For your benefit, we have noted down 16 points which are the outstanding features and signs of the Ulama-e-Haq. Read them and sift out the Ulama-e-Haq from the others with these points. Then seek Deeni guidance from the Ulama-e-Haq and Insha Allah, they will NOT lead you astray, Aameen.

While there are hundreds of signs of the Ulama-e-Haq, we have only written 16 points which are relevant in these days, Alhamdulillah.

Any Aalim who bears the following signs, belong to the Ulama-e-Haq fraternity:

1. Does NOT appear on any TV, or video channel, neither does he approve of pictography to be Halaal.
2. Does NOT appear on any so-called radio which has ‘Islam’ before or after its name. He does not approve of women coming on air nor does he approve of any Molvi to share the airwaves of such a radio station.
3. Does NOT rub shoulders with the Kuffaar by inviting them to Iftaar parties, Masjid programs, Eidgahs, etc.
4. Does NOT approve of interfaith meetings and programs where Kufr is dinned into the ears of ALL of the participants.
5. Does NOT approve of ANY bank to be ‘Islamic’ and offers a ‘Shariah compliant’ service.
6. Does explain the Haq in clear and open terms and does NOT curry favour with any group nor is he a ‘fence-sitter’.
7. Does NOT indulge in open sinful activities. If it is brought to his notice that a certain act of his was incorrect, he will NOT justify his wrong if he really was wrong in terms of the Shariat.
8. Does NOT promote intermingling in weddings, mock ‘Walimahs’ and family reunions where intermingling takes place, not to speak about other sins.
9. Does NOT approve of commercial chickens as Halaal though they may be approved by so-called ‘Halaal’ certifiers.
10. Does NOT call women to attend the Masaajid or the Eidgah.
11. Does observe proper Hijaab from EVERY non-Mahram woman.
12. Does NOT sanction or approve, nor does he have anything to do with the so-called ‘Islamic’ schools.
13. Does NOT approve of women leaving their homes without a Mahram and driving around town even if they have a ‘Purdah’ on their faces.
14. He follows and promotes the bitter and ‘forlorn’ Haq.
15. He does NOT attend marriage conferences and other similar events.
16. In short, in his company, or listening to his Bayaans or reading his literature, one sees and hears nothing but the bitter Haq.

The above are just a handful of points which are outstanding in the Ulama-e-Haq.

May Allah Ta’ala guide this Ummah and rid us from the evil scholars, Aameen.
