Is this type of matchmaking Halaal? Are we as youth supposed to look for a girl ourselves, at such places, or were our parents or elders suppose to recommend and arrange our partners and Nikahs?
ANSWER: Undoubtedly, such events are events of Zina. If this information you have provided is true, then it is extremely sad to note how these liberal scholars are operating and promoting Zina. The Ummah should be extremely wary of these scholars who are watering down the Laws of Hijaab and are promoting Zina and other alien-to-Islam teachings.
Stick to the company and Ta’leem of our pious Ulama-e-Haq and Mashaaikh. Their company and teachings will not lead you astray!
It is HARAAM to participate in this and similar kind of Zina matchmaking events!
