Cold / Running Nose (Part 2)

Remedy: 10

– Ginger

– honey

Grate or crush a piece of ginger. Add it to boiling water. Sweeten with honey and drink as hot as possible. Relieves sore throat & clears the feeling of heavy headedness.

Remedy: 11

– Few pieces of ginger

– ¼ tsp arad (haldi / turmeric powder)

– 3 pepper corns

– 1/4 tsp ajmo (caraway)

– 1 elachi (cardamom)

– 1 stick cinnamon

Boil in 1 cup milk and sweeten with honey. Drink before sleeping.

Remedy: 12

Have Fruits like oranges, lemon, etc. which are high in vitamin C.

Remedy: 13

Chicken soup helps give relief from colds. Fish is also very good. Avoid red meat when feeling fluish.

Remedy: 14

– 1 tsp honey

– ½ tsp nutmeg (jaifal)

– ½ tsp lemon juice

Mix and lick as desired

Remedy: 15

– 1 tsp wheat bran

– 5 black peppercorns

– ½ tsp salt

– 1 ½ cups water

Boil the above until ¾ cup remains then strain. This is one dose, to be taken warm and unsweetened upon awakening and at bedtime for 4-7 days.

Remedy: 16

– black pepper

– honey

– apple-cider vinegar

Make a paste and suck a little.

Remedy: 17

Ginger Tea (for colds & Flu)

– 1 tsp grated ginger

– 1 stick of cinnamon

– 1 elachi (cardamom)

– 3 cups water

Boil until 1 cup remains, sweeten with honey and drink before going to bed.
