🚨 Open Letter to Dr. Omar Suleiman 🚨
In his recent visit to South Africa, Dr. Omar Suleiman condemned those fighting over “petty issues” instead of focusing on the oppressors of Gaza. While his words may sound noble, the reality is far more hypocritical .
Dr. Suleiman spoke at an event sponsored by Standard Bank , which is partly owned by BlackRock and Vanguard Group —two major entities directly involved in funding and sending arms to Israel used in the oppression of Palestinians.
Not only is he accepting sponsorship from these very oppressors, but he’s also promoting Muslims to invest with Standard Bank, thus financially supporting the entities that fuel the destruction of Gaza. This is a clear contradiction to the values of justice and accountability he claims to stand for.
The letter calls out this hypocrisy and urges all of us to hold ourselves accountable—both in our actions and the institutions we support.
