Read This Scary-Real-Life Incident

Take The Lessons And Understand The Reasons Why Muslim Women Should NOT Drive!

SPECIALLY DEDICATED TO:

• All The Short-Sighted Muftis and Darul-Iftas who have and do issue ‘Fatwas’ of ’Jawaaz’ (Permissibility) for Muslim women to drive

• And to the modern Ulama, Muftis, Huffaz and Imaams who allow their wives to drive

The Laws of Deen have wisdom – Let us NOT use our logic to challenge the Divine Decree of Allah Ta’ala!

Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said,

“I take an oath by The Being Who has sent me with the Truth! The world will come to an end only after (the calamities) of earthquakes, showers of stones (from the heavens) and disfigurement have taken place.

The Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum) asked: ‘Yaa Rasulallah! When will this happen?’

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “When you see women seated in the saddle (driver’s seat – behind the wheel in today’s era)…” (Tabrani)

Indeed, there is wisdom in the fact that Muslim women are not permitted by the Deen to drive. From seeing the Kuffar style of living – where both men and women drive – one understands that their women are more quickly prompted and exposed to evils, and difficulties and are greater targets of incidents which may ultimately lead to Zina.

Alhamdulillah, Islaam has safeguarded the Izzat (honour), Hayaa (modesty) and chastity of Muslim women by disallowing them from making themselves available in public, especially without a Mahram! However, sadly, modern and liberal so-called ‘Ulama’ who are destroying the Izzat and Hayaa of our Muslim women, allow them to drive and even brazenly issue ‘Fatwas’ of this permissibility. Ulama, Muftis and Huffaz who lead the Ummah in Salaah, but who also allow their wives to drive, are in a lamentable state. Indeed, their understanding of Deen is limited. Such Ulama and Huffaz are modernists and liberals!

The Pretoria nursery school teacher who was allegedly assaulted and thrown to the ground by Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) officers didn’t pull over immediately because she was still traumatised after having been duped into a fake roadblock by gangsters in February (Imagine a Muslim woman assaulted and thrown to the ground in place of this lady! What Izzat would had been left of a Muslim woman had she followed the modernized ‘Fatwas’ of permissibility for her to drive issued by liberal Muftis? And what if it was a wife of a Moulana, or Mufti, or Haafiz Saheb who was driving around town when this could have happened to her – COH). 

Following the harrowing ordeal, 28-year-old Kymie du Toit was advised by police to drive to a safe place in future should she be approached by what appeared to be police. 

When she was approached by a TMPD police vehicle in a dark area on her way home after a babysitting job on November 26 (2019 – COH), that’s exactly what she did. She turned on her hazards and drove to the safest place she could think of – the nearest petrol station. 

Here she was instead allegedly assaulted and manhandled by police officers, before being arrested on a charge of reckless and negligent driving. 

In a CCTV video that has since gone viral, Du Toit exits her white VW Polo at around 23:25 as the metro officers approach her vehicle (While the time of this incident of this non-Muslim lady driver was late, very late at night, it is very possible for the same to happen at any time of the day. Therefore, a Muslim woman who is interested in protecting her Hijaab, Hayaa, body and Izzat (respect), and who protects the dignity of her husband or father (if she is not married yet) will understand she should not drive. Because of her driving, her father / husband is  a Dayyooth (cuckold) in the Shari’at. A Cuckold is a father/husband who doesn’t care regarding who looks and talks to his daughter / wife. And a cuckold is warned in the Hadith in Nasaai Shareef that Allah Ta’ala will NOT look at him on the Day of Qiyaamah (with Mercy)! – COH).

She is then pulled toward a TMPD kombi by three male and one female officers (Imagine a Muslim woman in Purdah or otherwise, or a wife of the local Imaam, Moulana or Mufti of the town, is dragged ruthlessly out of her vehicle by THREE MALE officers in place of this non-Muslim lady! Imagine, three males – six hands of Ghair-Mahrams – are touching, handling and dragging a Muslim lady driver who perhaps was on her way to a ladies Ta’leem, some Tafseer classes conducted by a Moulana who lures women to drive alone (or women only) to his Tafseer venue, shopping or just loafing around town. Just this act of the officers, strips the Izzat of a Muslim lady. Can those short-sighted and modernized Muftis and Ulama organizations be so short-sighted to these possibilities and still brazenly allow Muslim women to drive freely? – COH).

The seemingly distressed Du Toit resists and appears to be calling for help. A man wearing a yellow T-shirt and baseball cap attempts to intervene, but is kept at a distance by one of the officers. (Imagine another non-Mahram male comes up to intervene a Muslim female driver in this scenario of an afflicted Muslim woman. What is left of the true and proper meaning of Hijaab and Purdah in such a scenario? Already three non-Mahram men’s hands are on her, touching her, gripping her, pulling her, holding her body, and another male intervenes on her behalf! Would any husband allow his wife to be going through such a situation in which non-Mahram men have full access to her body? Imagine if a Muslim woman driver drove on the basis of a ‘Fatwa’ issued by some modern, TV-Mufti, a Mufti who doesn’t observe Hijaab from females, or some deviated and modernized Ulama-organization who does not observe any Hijaab in their offices between their Moulanas, Muftis and Aapas as well as Muslim women who enter their offices! Yes, this is a reality and perhaps an extremely bitter pill to gulp! – COH)  

Du Toit is then thrown to the ground by one of the officers, handcuffed and loaded into the police vehicle. (By now, every sincere Haqq-seeking Muslim reader will need no ‘imagined’ example as his sincerity will tell him that a Muslim woman is not allowed to drive, no matter which grand Mufti has issued whatever fancy, proof-packed ‘Fatwa’ to proof women can drive – COH)   

Still traumatised after fake roadblock

According to Du Toit’s mother, Naomie, her daughter was still traumatised after being held up by four men who pulled her over in what appeared to be a roadblock when she was on her way to Lanseria Airport earlier this year. 

“She was dropping off friends of ours at the airport. On the way back, she went through a legitimate roadblock, and some distance further there was what appeared to be a second roadblock. Four men posing as police officers then sexually harassed her, touched her, played with her hair… Eventually they let her go (Exactly what we said earlier, would any husband or father, Moulana or Mufti, Haafiz Saheb or Imaam Saheb be pleased to see strange men having free access to their wives’ and Aapas’ bodies? This also proves that women driving flings open the doors of Zina! Do we still have confidence in those ‘Fatwas’ of permissibility and in those Muftis who have issued them, or in those Moulanas and Muftis as well as Huffaz who allow their wives and daughters to drive? – COH).

She laid a charge in Krugersdorp and identikits of the men were put together. She was given counselling but nothing came of the case.”

According to Naomie, her daughter was instructed not to stop in future if she felt unsafe, but instead to drive to a place where she felt more secure. 

On Tuesday last week, on her way home, the TMPD vehicle allegedly tried to block her vehicle and push it off the road in an area that wasn’t well lit. She then panicked and drove to the garage in Elardus Park, close to where she lives with her mother. 

Following the incident caught on video, police brought Du Toit’s car to her mother’s house, where she was informed of her daughter’s arrest. 

“They told me they were taking her to Lyttleton police station. When my son, who is a doctor, and I arrived at the station about 10 to 15 minutes later, no one knew where she was. The police drove around with her for about another hour before they brought her there.” (When we put things out of Islamic places, then we are bound to experience such panic and distressed situations. Women are not allowed to drive. If a Muslim woman doesn’t drive, she is free from all these headaches and stress, and will be able to maintain genuine and proper Hijaab and have ample time to make the Tarbiyat of her children! Otherwise, if she follows those brazenly Baatil ‘Fatwas’ and Muftis who allow women to drive, she exposes herself  to these kinds of dangers as mentioned above in which she could be driven around by unknown strangers in unknown terrain. – COH) 

According to Naomie, once her daughter arrived with the officers, she and other family members were told to leave. Du Toit was then taken to the Sunnyside police station for processing, without the family’s knowledge. 

‘Hurt badly’

“We sat there outside the station like idiots and they managed to slip her past us. Once processed, they brought her back and I paid R1 000 bail to have her released. On Thursday [November 28], she appeared in court, where the case was struck from the roll.” 

Naomie said that, once Kymie was released on bail around 04:00 on November 27, she was taken to the Pretoria East Hospital where she was examined by a doctor. “She got hurt pretty badly.” 

Kymie will be examined again on Friday and she is receiving trauma counselling.

“Some of the bruising has only started to show recently. We don’t know what steps we’re going to take next. At this point, I just want to ensure my child is healthy,” Naomie said. 

The family has opened a case of assault against the TMPD officers. 

TMPD spokesperson Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba confirmed the incident to News24 on Friday.

“We as the department are aware of the video and the incident that took place on the mentioned date and times and we can confirm that those members seen in the video are TMPD members,” Mahamba said.

“At this stage, [an] internal investigation is continuing and we have since obtained statements from the affected members. We can also state that the case is at an advance stage and we will be able to comment further after the chief of police has studied the docket opened and pronounced on the next step afterward.”

Currently, the coronavirus which has taken the lives of thousands and infected tens of thousands is a ‘big threat’ to the world. Kuffaar, scientist and other experts are putting meausres and ways to prevent the spread of this virus. We say, if we need safety from this virus, we should follow the Deen. Allah’s Nusrat will be with us when following His Deen, thus, He will grant us Safety from such viruses, crime, kidnapping, etc.

Moreover, in Deen, a woman is not allowed to even attend the Fardh Salaah in the local, nearby Masjid. How will she then be allowed to drive?

May Allah Ta’ala grant us Hidaayat to make Amal on His Deen and save us from the Fitnahs, calamities and trials, Aameen.
