Response To UUCSA’s ‘The Gaza Crisis, Iran & The Mimbar’ Article

Israel & Iran War

Re: UUCSA’s ‘community statement’ titled ‘The Gaza Crisis, Iran and the Mimbar’

Is UUCSA Blind?

Is UUCSA Blind To Shi’ism?

At the outset, we wish to remind every Muslim of South Africa, that UUCSA is a BAATIL entity. It was this very same UUCSA that begged the court to keep the Masaajid SHUT during the SCAM-demic dubbed as covid in 2020! Hence, from an entity of Baatil, only Baatil is expected. And the Iran article of UUCSA is another Baatil article.

Muslims who are of the Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah, naturally are wary of Iran, for it was Iran who has afflicted worse atrocities to the Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah’s innocent civilians in Shaam (Syria) wherein they aided in the killing of far more innocent lives than the current toll in Gaza. Muslims should smell subtle ‘support for the Kufr Shi’i regime of Iran’ in UUCSA’s article.

Iran is a Shi’a country. They hate the Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah. Their war is based on Kufr, since Shi’ism is a KUFR religion. Just see how they ‘threw in the towel’ in just 12-days in their war with Israel. On the other hand, it will soon be two years since the current war in Gaza wherein the Mujaahideen are strong, and are not waving the white flag – Alhamdulillah. In fact, of recent days and weeks, the Mujaahideen have intensified their attacks in which they have launched nerve-wracking attacks on the enemy forces at point blank ranges – TAKBEER! ALLAHU-AKBAR!

In this article, we wish to briefly refute UUCSA – the anti Masjid mob of South Africa – who issued the article referenced with the title’s wording as it appears on the top of this article, on the 7th Muharram 1447, 3rd July 2025.

UUCSA claims: “…Iran’s role is being framed in extremes – either total vilification or unconditional praise. Both positions are flawed.”

RESPONSE: UUCSA should in clear words spell out to the thirsty Muslim community the answers to the following questions,

  1. “Is Iran a Shi’a state or not?”
  2. “Are Shi’as Muslim or not?”

(UUCSA should very clearly highlight in a simple answer of yes or no to the above pertinent Imaani and questions related to Aqeedah!)

Once the Ummah learns the straightforward answers to the above simple questions, then whether to support or not to support Iran will be clear in the minds of the Muslims. And if UUCSA claims Shi’as are Muslims, or ‘beats around the bush’, or goes into details such as ‘there are many branches of Shi’as, so depends…’, then the Ummah should know exactly the condition of UUCSA – i.e. a pro-Shi’a sympathizing entity of Baatil!

UUCSA claims, “As such, scholars like Mufti Taqi Usmani and Moulana Sajjad Noumani have endorsed a measured position: reject unjust targeting of Iran while maintaining clear theological boundaries.”

RESPONSE: If UUCSA had been straightforward in educating the Ummah from an unbiased position, by answering the questions posed in the top ‘response’, then UUCSA wouldn’t need to lend the words or ‘measured positions’ albeit political, of scholars of their ilk whom they quote. In fact, they won’t need to lend the words of any scholar of  anywhere in the world who has taken a neutral positiona position which positions him on an offensive position of sitting on the fence – in this Iran war saga. In fact, some of the South African Ulama-e-Haq have made their stance very clear on Iran.

In fact, in yesteryears, even UUCSA was clear on Shi’ism and Iran. We have read the article issues by the UUCSA who used to speak a bit of Haq in yesteryears, which had resurfaced about one or two weeks ago. UUCSA’s stance on the KUFR Shi’a religion of Dajjaal and on Iran was very clear and to the point – the exact same stance we are NOT seeing UUCSA adopting anymore.

The stance and clear statements stating the Haq, which was even adopted by UUCSA in yesteryears, is nowadays dubbed as ‘harsh’ by UUCSA-type liberal sell-out scholars of modernism who are out there to dilute the Shari’ah in an attempt to water down Islam. And in so doing (of clearly educating the Ummah of the Shi’ism creed followed in Iran), there wouldn’t be a need to adopt a namedrop tactic like how UUCSA, JUSA and ALL modern scholars do, precisely as UUCSA has also done in this article of theirs – wherein they drop the names of Mufti Taqi and Moulana Sajjaad Nu’mani.

UUCSA, putting the blame on the Arab nations, says, “By the same token, the silence and inaction of many Arab regimes in the face of genocide is a moral and political failure of the highest order.”

RESPONSE: This is a cheap and easy way of distracting attention and the problem. Pointing fingers elsewhere is the simplest of ways UUCSA is adopting in imagining and hoping of bringing a change.

While we don’t have control over what the Arab nations are doing, we certainly have control over our own affairs, especially in our country wherein we have some sort of freedom of religion, whereby we are freely allowed to make our stance backed by solid Shar’i grounds known. Then why has UUCSA not seized this opportunity by educating the Ummah of South Africa in clear words about what a Kufr country Iran truly is; whether Shi’as are Kuffaar or not; whether making a shrine for the murderer of Hazrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) is a demand of the love for the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum) or rather it indicates to hatred of Ameerul-Mu’mineen (Radhiyallahu anhu); etc.?

Merely pointing fingers to the Arabs is not justified. While the Arabs are perpetrating a failure to the Muslims on a macro level, as a Muslim organisation (i.e. UUCSA) who always wants to seize the moments of attractions during events and happenings, UUCSA could have educated and warned the Ummah in unambiguous words and terms, and without adopting the slightest form of ‘Taqiyah’, of the Kufr of the Shi’as. This could have been achieved, albeit on a micro forma local issue, to the South African Ummah, unlike the Arabs, who are failing the Ummah on a global (macro) form.

O UUCSA! While you blaming the Arabs’ silence as “political failure of the highest order”, it appears your interest is, as mostly it seems to be, politics. Even begging the court when you became its Amicus and also became an enemy of Allah’s Houses in 2020, your agenda appeared to be more politics than anything else – to be in the ‘good books’ of the government. This history of yours, no Ummati of South Africa will ever forget!

Even your JUSA’s Mufti Bulbulia who was spoken to on a call, for approximately seven minutes, repeatedly being asked by the caller, “Are Shi’as Muslim”, failed!

Yes, JUSA’s Darul-Ifta FAILED the Ummah!

Yes, JUSA’s Darul-Ifta FAILED the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum)!

Yes, JUSA’s Darul-Ifta FAILED the thousands of Fataawa of KUFR of the Shi’as issued by our Deen’s Ulama-e-Haq!

Yes, JUSA’s Darul-Ifta is a failure and a fail for the entire Ummah!

And it was your JUSA’s Darul-Ifta who wanted to make its “Fataawa” BINDING upon the Ummah! What a failed Darul-Ifta!

Instead of answering the simple question as to whether Shi’as are Muslim or not, your JUSA’s Mufti adopted a ‘beat around the bush’ attitude by referring the caller to a lengthy PDF document prepared, which apparently will ‘answer’ the simple straightforward question of the caller – “Are Shi’as Muslims?”.

If the PDF has the answer, then why couldn’t JUSA’s Darul-Ifta’s Mufti simply say ‘Yes’, or ‘No’, to the simple question? In seven long minutes of beating around the bush, the Mufti uttered a weird un-clear ‘answer’ to the question, which in itself is questionable!

May JUSA’s Darul-Ifta and all its ‘Muftis’ hang their heads in utter disgrace and shame, in ‘beating around the bush’ to subtly approve the insults of the Shi’as hurled at the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum). This is what happens! If a Darul-Ifta clearly answers a question, then the Ummah will clearly know the answer and act accordingly. Adopting a ‘beating around the bush’ attitude to the question of whether Shi’as are Muslim or not, has kept the door of Shi’ism open in the minds of the Ummah. And Shi’as abuse and insult the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum), hence, the door of hurling abuse and insult to the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum) has been kept open due to the unclear answer provided by the Darul-Ifta.

We suggest your JUSA’s Darul-Ifta closes down, as this will be a favour to the Ummah who will not get confused when asking Masaa’il related to Aqeedah, the status of those who abuse the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum), etc.

Lastly, among UUCSA’s concluding points, one was, “Iran must neither be lionised nor unfairly scapegoated; our stance must be principled.”

RESPONSE: The ‘principled stance’ of the Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah members, who after knowing the atrocities Iran is guilty of to the people of Syria, is supposed to be, “We are pleased on behalf of the people of Shaam (Syria) at the bombs dropped on Iran by Israel; and we are pleased on behalf of Palestine at the bombs dropped in Israel by Iran”.

May Allah Ta’ala open our eyes to recognize the ugly colours of the Kuffaar Shi’as and their sympathizers, Aameen.
