Satanic & De-Imaanizing Games

Haraam & Satanic Games – Such As ‘Call Of Duty – De-Imaanizing Our Children!

QUESTION: Kindly explain the Islamic status of games which our youngsters play so much whether on PC, Play-stations or cellphones. Among the common games these days are: Call of Duty and PUBG. Some games have Satanic themes hidden in them. Other games have acts of Shirk in them. Please offer your comments on this as this is like an intoxicant of the youth of this era.

OUR COMMENTS: Some time back, we had researched on the game you mentioned above, viz. Call of Duty. In the Google search, we had seen some pictures of weapons which had symbols of Satanism on them!

Hardly a month ago, we received a link directing one to shocking information of this same game (Call of Duty) depicting pictures of pages on the floor which had Qur’anic Aayaat written on them!

We were also told regarding ‘PUBG’, that it contains acts of Shirk in it (such as idol-worshipping, etc.)! (This we did not research. It is information given to us.)

After reading this, how can one still play such anti-Imaani games? No wonder many of our youth fail to attend the Jamaat Salaah in the Masjid, fail to don the Sunnah dressing, fail to observe and adopt the Sunnats in their lives, fail to excel in their Deeni studies, and fail to obey, assist and answer their parents’ call! Truly, answering the call of one’s parent is one of the most important CALL OF DUTIES, Islamically!

Games – especially such anti-Imaani ones – deafen the hearing of our youth. They (the youth) are deaf to the Azaan by not responding. They are deaf to Tilaawat by not finding joy and time to spend listening and reading. And they are deaf to their parents when they call them. Games simply make them too engrossed thereby they become like ‘deaf’ and ‘dead’ people – also known as ‘vegetable’ – failing to reply to any of these calls!

All this boils down to the product of disobedient, unhealthy, sickly and lazy youth – the future of this Ummah! Whereas, the youth of the Sahaabah (Radhiyallahu anhum) were the total opposite! They vied among each other to go into battles. In fact, due to the youth of the Sahaabah, the Fir’aun of this Ummat – Abu Jahl’s – death played its course! Allahu-Akbar!

May we wake up and change the lifestyle of our youth in order for them to become proper and pro-active future Muslim Ummah! Do we want lazy, screen-addicts ‘couch-potatoes’ as the future Muslim Ummah, or men, warriors and soldiers who will stand up in defence of this Deen?
