Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar Radhiyallahu anhu narrates that Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said:

“Islaam is based on five pillars:

  1. Bearing witness that there is no Deity but Allah and that Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is His Servant and Messenger.
  2. Establishment of Salaah.
  3. Paying Zakaat.
  4. Performance of Haj.
  5. Fasting in the month of Ramadhaan.”
