The Accepted Few

From the north, south, east and west
The chosen few have begun their quest

The memories they will forever treasure
Countless sacrifice for Allah’s pleasure

A journey that will cause evil to fall
Indeed, they were not sent, they answered the call

Millions around the world will congregate
To profess one true, pure faith

The excitement builds in every heart
To thread the footsteps of Ebrahim’s (A.S.) path

Among them, a lucky few that won’t return
Forever their spirit of martydom will burn

Even though, Eid with the family they will miss
It means nothing, for the journey of Hajj is priceless

The waiting list for this epic journey forms a long que
But I have hope, one day I will be from the accepted few
