The Female Voice – Can They Come On Radios?

Hereunder are common Masaa’il pertaining to the female voice. After reading this, think and ponder, will it be permissible for a radio station dubbed as ‘Islamic’ or ‘Islam’ to air the women’s voice in different programs, call-in programs, hosting etc.? You be the judge. When a woman comes on-air, many, many men also listen. Some women speak in charming and alluring tones, giggle and laugh on-air. Sadly, some even come on-air with a Moulana! Thus, there is NOTHING Islamic in these radio stations!

If the Imaam makes a mistake in his Qiraa’t, then even if he happens to be her husband, and no one else is present, she is NOT allowed to correct him by saying ‘Subhaanallaah!’ She has to strike her palms just once, not clap her hands.

Men have to recite the Talbiyah during Hajj audibly. Women must recite it silently.

In none of the Salaat is a woman allowed to recite the Qiraa’t audibly.

It is not permissible for a woman to recite the Athaan and the Iqaamah.
