The Dangerous, Haraam & Kufr Festive Season Is Approaching
‘Lock’ Your Imaan!
Don’t Let The Robbers ‘Steal’ Our Most Precious ‘Commodity’ Called Imaan!
Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said:
مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ
“Whoever imitates a nation is from among them.” (Abu Dawood)
December is a month in which the Christians celebrate their Kufr. At the approach of the 25th December, they intensify in their Kufr. When Kufr is committed, Allah Ta’ala becomes extremely upset and angry.
Seldom does a Mu’min walk down the road, drive in town or go to any shop, except that the decorations, ornaments and slogans of Christmas and New Year are seen boldly displayed in public. Billboards, street corners and shopping areas are the ‘hotspots’ for such advertisements of Kufr. Thus, at times to go to a shop out of need becomes difficult because of being surrounded by Kufr-displays. Christmas trees, bucks and carts, Father Christmas and other things related to Kufr are set-up in such places where one’s gaze may fall easily at and where one is forced to walk close to.
Remember, these set-ups are actually Imaan-snatchers and Imaan-thieves! They are the ‘highway robbers’ of our Imaan! Shaitaan has ‘inspired’ his mates and bondsmen – the Kuffaar – to set-up such Kufr-attractions at these ‘can’t-miss’ areas and places where we are forced to walk / drive pass. His ultimate objective is to snatch away the Imaan of the Mu’mineen in a Shaitaani-subtle way, without us even realising.
Shaitaan knows very well that he will fail to make any Mu’min forsake his Imaan willingly. He knows very well of this fact. Hence, he tries other ways and uses various strategies to attain this objective. Thus, a Kufr festive season is one of his ‘prime opportunity time’ to allure people into his snare of Kufr.
Therefore, just as we are well aware of the high crime rates in December when people are robbed of their money, hijacked and even murdered, the security and Police force issue warnings, reminders, tips and precautionary measures for one’s safety. Like that, the ‘Police’, ‘Army’ and ‘Soldiers’ of this Ummat are the Ulama-e-Haq. And only the Ulama-e-Haq are the most qualified to be in this Sacred Work! They are the Ulama-e-Haq who fearlessly speak out and proclaim the bitter truth! They are NOT the Ulama who bootlick and grovel at the feet of Kuffaar politicians and rulers to gain some imagined ‘security’ and ‘safety’ for our lives (in our country, etc.). Such people are involved in many Haraam activities sometimes at the cost of their Hayaa’ and even Imaan – Allah save us. Similarly, they are NOT part of those Ulama who appear on TV and legalize pictography, as well as promote and allow their pictures to be taken and to be spread virally on social media! And they are NOT part of those scholars who promote and attend Haraam interfaith meetings, and who address mixed crowds of both genders of Kuffaar and utter ‘Viva, Viva! – Viva Eff, viva ANC, viva South Africa, etc.’!
These Ulama-e-Haq who play the role of the ‘Police’, ‘Soldiers’ and ‘Army’ of this Deen and of Allah Ta’ala, have warned us NOT to marvel, look and promote the Kuffar’s Kufr festivals in any way whatsoever. To such an extent, that they have warned us NOT to even look and admire the fireworks that are used to burn away valuable Rands to celebrate a New Year.
We should take much care and precaution NOT to let our valuable Imaan be robbed in this season of Kufr, Shirk, Israaf, craziness, madness, drunkenness and Zina.
We should abstain from admiring and praising the Kufr practices which are on an increase as well as on display in our midst in the coming days. Such statements and admirations may corrupt our Imaan, if not totally rob us of our Imaan.
Words such as, ‘Merry Christmas’, ‘Merry X-Mas’, ‘Happy Christmas’, ‘Happy New Year’, etc. are NOT permissible, and are detrimental for one’s Imaan. We should not even use such slogans under the pretext of ‘well-wishing’ even our non-Muslim staff, customers, neighbours, colleagues, etc.
It is unexpected of a Mu’min businessman to have placards, boards and decorations on his shop windows, walls, etc. of the above slogans related to Christmas and New Year. Making and displaying such statements are akin to saying, ‘You must go and enjoy disobeying and rejecting Allah Ta’ala, His Rasool and His Kalaam! Go! I wish you well and good-luck in doing that!’ The implications of such emulation of Kuffaar practices and customs are extremely harmful for our Imaan.
Alas! Some Muslims go to the malls and places where Father Christmas and Christmas Trees are put on display. They take their small children, while totally and openly betraying the Trust Allah Ta’ala has given them of their children, and hand these innocent children to Father Christmas, and allow them to sit on his lap while they take pictures and send them viral!!! We are tantamount to tendering our children to Christianity! Instead of teaching them to abhor these trademarks of Kufr, we are acclimatizing them to Kufr. What future do we intend to see in our children in terms of their Deen? Do we want them to celebrate Eid as well as Christmas?
Never should parents introduce their children to these customs of Kufr. On the contrary, they should foster an abhorrence in their children for these practices.
Our dissociation and abstention from the customs and practices of non-Muslims should not be understood as hostility to non-Muslims. However, we have to stay aloof from practices which expose our Imaan to the predations of Kufr. Thus, our precautionary measure should be to abstain to the best of one’s ability from even going near to these places.
We ask Muslims who are interested in safeguarding their Imaan, to abstain from frequenting the venues and places which have such Haraam displays. If need compels one to go to one of these places, then avoid going near those places which have these Kufr and contraptions on display which may distract or interfere with our ‘Imaani-alignment’.
May Allah Ta’ala protect us, our Imaan and safeguard the Imaan of every Ummati, Aameen.
IT IS HARAAM & KUFR TO SAY AND USE SLOGANS SUCH AS ‘MERRY X-MAS’, ‘MERRY CHRISTMAS’, ‘HAPPY NEW YEAR’, ETC.
IT IS HARAAM & KUFR TO DECORATE ONE’S SHOP WITH SUCH SLOGANS AND PLACARDS
OUR ULAMA SAY, ‘STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE ENEMIES OF ALLAH DURING THEIR (KUFR) FESTIVALS.’
CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR AND FIREWORKS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ISLAAM AND IMAAN!
