The Obligation Of The Ulama To Speak Out

IT IS THE OBLIGATION OF THE ULAMA TO SPEAK THE HAQ OPENLY AND PROTECT THE DEEN

A concerned aalim writes:

As Ulama, don’t we have an obligation to protect the Deen?

Don’t we have to condemn evil when we see it?

I’m just distraught thinking about this, that we say we are Ulama, we are happy to hold the title and be introduced like that, but when we can see this happening in front of our eyes, clear cut wrong is taking place, as part of a “Deeni Organization” yet we do not speak out, or worse still, we say it shouldn’t be spoken about and even maintain friendship with those very same people doing the wrong, and even give them platforms in our Masaajid…

And still be content that all is well and we won’t be punished for this, despite having full knowledge that this is what is happening!

Only Allah knows when we will see the light…
