In Defence of Hazrat Mu’awiyah Radhiyallahu Anhu 

How Well Do You Know Hazrat Mu’awiyah Radhiyallahu Anhu?

Among the greatest excellence of Hazrat Mu’awiyyah Radhiyallahu anhu is the fact that he was one of the scribes of Wahi of Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam!

This unique position of trust assigned to him by Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam is sufficient to refute any vulgar Shi’i slander and abuse against this noble Sahaabi.

Sheikh Waliyullah Muhaddith Dehlwi Rahimahullah says in Izaalatul-Khifaa:
“Know that Hazrat Mu’awiyyah bin Sufyaan Radhiyallahu anhuma was a Sahaabi of Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam. In the general group of the Sahaabah, he held a distinguished position and rank.
He is a Sahaabi of outstanding virtue and excellence. Beware! Never revile him. Never commit the Haraam act of abusing him.”

After this very brief explanation in defence of Hazrat Mu’awiyyah Radhiyallahu anhu, which member of the Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah will ever tolerate to abuse and revile Hazrat Mu’awiyyah Radhiyallahu anhu? But the Shi’as include this great and illustrious companion of Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam in their abuse of the Sahaabah, Na’uthu-Billah!
