Hazrat Abu Bakr Radhiyallahu anhu
Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) once said to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (Radiyallahu anhu): “You will be my companion at the haudh (of Kauthar) and were my companion in the cave (during the journey of hijrat). (Tirmizi)
“If the Imaan of Abu Bakr was weighed against the Imaan of the people of the earth, the Imaan of Abu Bakr would outweigh the others.”
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah Radhiyallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said: “No person’s wealth has benefitted me as much as the wealth of Abu Bakr has benefitted me.” Upon hearing this, Hazrat Abu Bakr Radhiyallahu anhu began weeping and said: “All of my wealth is for you.”
Hazrat Jubayr ibn Mut`im Radhiyallahu anhu reports from his father that once a woman came to Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam (seeking a verdict or ruling in a Deeni matter). Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam ordered her to return on another day for the solution to her problem. The woman then said to Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam: “What if I find you are no longer here (indicating to the demise of Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), then what should I do?” Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam replied:
“If you find that I am no longer here, then go to Abu Bakr.”
