Answer: The proposed event of merrymaking in which a braai will be organized followed by a ‘Hijaab show’, is totally impermissible for any Muslim to attend.
There is no ‘style’ in Hijaab. Hijaab is supposed to inculcate humility.
Abstain from such shows and functions and don’t be misled in the event Ulama or respectable personalities of the community attend such feasts in the name of Hijaab. The place of a Muslimah is her home. There is no need in calling them out of their homes in the name of Hijaab. This totally defeats the purpose of Hijaab.
May Allah Ta’ala save this Ummah from the deviation of the deviated sects among our midst, Aameen.
