Question: Please explain the times when a Muslim should not be greeted with Salaam?
Answer: The Fuqahaa have prohibited Salaam on these occasions:
1. When a person is engaged in Ibaadat.
2. When a person is engaged in sin.
3. When a person is engaged in natural demands (e.g. eating, answering the call of nature).
Bear in mind that one should NOT make Salaam to any non-Mahram.
