Why do the Ulama abstain from Amr Bil Ma’roof Nahyi anil Munkar (Commanding righteousness and prohibiting evil)?
Answering this riddle, Hadhrat Maalik Bin Dinaar (rahmatullah alayh) said:
“We have agreed amongst us to love the world. Thus, we abstain from commanding each other with goodness and prohibiting from evil. Be assured that Allah Ta’ala will not leave us (to go unpunished for this treachery).”
