Wifaaqul Ulama’s Empangeni Program – Summary

🕌 EMPANGENI 2025 – FULL EVENT SUMMARY

(Program took place on Saturday, 15 November 2025)

A gathering of senior ‘Ulamā that revived love for Rasulullah ﷺ, strengthened attachment to Sunnah, and reminded the Ummah of its true purpose.

🔹 1. Mufti Radhaul Haq (db)
🌙 Theme: The ni’mah of Imaan & honour of being in the Ummah.
– Imaan is gifted, not earned.
– We belong to the greatest Ummah; even Ambiyaa wished to be part of it.
– This Ummah is last in the world, but first to enter Jannah.
– ’Isa (AS) will return and follow the Shari’ah of Nabi ﷺ.
– Abu Talib was not granted the Kalimah, yet Allah blessed us with it.
– Support your local ‘Ulamā and programmes of Deen.
– Value the favour of being Muslim.

🔹 2. Ml Ilyas Patel (db)
🌙 Theme: The role of Dārul ‘Ulūm & the value of the maktab system.
– Every family should give at least one child to the path of ‘Ilm.
– “How will he earn?” — Rizq comes because of the pious.
– When makatib die out, *Iman dies out* (example: Spain).
– Teach love of Sahabah, Ahlul Bayt & Qur’an from childhood.
– Support madrasahs and students; their barakah protects communities.
– Dīn survives when makatib survive.

🌙 Theme: The Sunnah as the only road to Allah & the danger of modern ideologies.
– Every nation has a path; our path is the Sunnah.
– The “Noor” in Qur’an refers to Nabi ﷺ.
– No one reaches Allah without following Sunnah.
– Enemies of Islam always attack:
1. Trust in ‘Ulamā-e-Haqq
2. Confidence in the 4 Imams
3. Sunnah itself
– Muslim identity must remain distinct – not shaped by Paris, Milan, culture or fashion.
– Don’t abandon mustahab; it brings Allah’s love.
– Subtle “interfaith” ideas are designed to dilute Islam.
– Hold tight to Sunnah with love and courage.

🌙 Theme: Detaching from dunya & preparing for the true journey.
– Allah turns hearts instantly (Hind RA & the would-be assassin).
– A shoemaker’s honesty guided an American to Islam – character is Dawah.
– The 3 brothers:
1️⃣ Wealth – leaves at death
2️⃣ Family – leaves at the grave
3️⃣ Imaan & A‘mal – stay forever
– Secular education moulded Muslims to think like materialists.
– Dunya is a race; the one with baggage loses.
– The grave is the great equaliser.
– “The most intelligent person prepares for death.”

🌙 Theme: Protecting the Sahābah, honouring ‘Ulamā & reviving Sunnah.
– The Sunnah is the only accepted path to Allah.
– The lives of Sahabah are the full demonstration of Sunnah.
– Enemies always begin by separating people from ‘Ulamā.
– Taqlīd = confidence in centuries of scholarship, not blind imitation.
– Insulting Sahabah is an attack on Islam itself.
– Abu Bakr (RA)’s firmness after Nabi’s passing saved the Ummah.
– Abandoning Sunnah brings *wahn* – love of dunya & fear of death.
– Bring Sunnah du‘ā, Sunnah eating, Sunnah conduct & Sunnah character into daily life.
– The goal of all effort: a living link with Allah.
