A Fully Cultured Person

Culture is mistakenly equated with secular education and the external facade of niceties when meeting and dealing with people.

According to Islam, culture is something far superior and nobler than what materialists understand.

Hazrat Fuzail Bin Iyaaz (Rahmatullahi alaih), explaining the meaning of culture said:

“A fully cultured person is one who possesses the following attributes:
> He is obedient to his parents.
> He is kind to his relatives.
> He honours his friends.
> He displays good character to family and workers.
> He protects his Deen.
> He protects his wealth (i.e. does not waste it) and spends whenever the need arises.
> He spends most of the time at home.
> He abstains from idle talk and futile gatherings.”
