Smear Campaign (UUCSA’s Claim)

UUCSA’s MMB Issue

Smear Campaign Against UUCSA – Or UUCSA’s Smear Campaign Against The Shari’ah?

Emphasizing following of the Shari’ah, Allah Ta’ala says, “Then, We have put you on a Special Way (the Shari’ah), so follow it and do not follow the whims of those who have no knowledge.” (Surah Jaathiyah, Aayat 18)

While there are just too many Fitnahs popping up on a daily basis, one thing noted is that the more the Ahl-e-Baatil or the forces of Baatil like the feminists, scholars for Dollars, TV-scholars, pro-interfaith so-called scholars, MJC, JUSA, Darul-Ihsan, UUCSA and other ‘scholars of the government’ of their ilk, issue statements, the more deeper they dig their own hole to fall into.

In the current UUCSA’s MMB Bill saga, in which they are running to court to want the State to override the Shari’ah’s Divine Constitution of Nikaah, Talaaq, etc. we should use our common sense – which is not so common anymore – and answer the following simple question:

“Can we, forget think of, rather hallucinate Hazrat Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan, Ali (Radhiyallahu anhum), or any other Sahaabi, or even any of the four great Imaams, going to court to ask the non-Muslims to recognize Muslim Nikaahs?”

If your answer is “No! I can’t even fathom such an endeavour perpetrated by any of the illustrious and pious men of this Ummah”, then ask yourself the following question:

“What would a great Sahaabi such as Hazrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu) do if he was alive today and learnt of a group of scholars (UUCSA) going to court for this achievement?”

Hazrat Umar (Radhiyallahu anhu)’s incidents are famous where at times his sword would decide in matters related to the Haq and Baatil. Would anyone of us brand Hazrat Umar’s methodology as ‘smear campaigning’? Na’uthu-Billah!

UUCSA says, “Contemptible smear campaign against UUCSA…”

Our comment: Before commenting briefly on this heading of UUCSA’s statement which we call ‘damage control’, we ask UUCSA the following, “Did all of your members agree and give consent for this statement to be released?” If ‘No’, then the entire statement is fit for the trash and not worth reading one letter further. Since we don’t know the answer, let’s assume all members were informed of this statement and comment further on some of the points.

Let us ask ourselves the following important question regarding UUCSA who is speaking of ‘smear campaigning’:

“Did UUCSA not ‘smear campaign’ against the Masaajid in South Africa which they begged the court to KEEP SHUT, last year? Is UUCSA now again not ‘smear campaigning’ against the Laws of Nikaah, etc. by marching once more to court to alter these Divine Laws? Who is actually on a smear campaign against who or what?”

UUCSA says, “[Naming their secretary] is a man of integrity and honesty.”

Our brief comment: Here we will say what the lawyers have said, since they are acquainted to such arguments and technicalities. The lawyers said that the secretary of UUCSA had spoken a lie in an affidavit which they have seen. Hence, anyone who has common sense will understand that a lie was spoken. And anyone who speaks a lie is committing a major sin. To speak a lie under oath (affidavit) is a major-major sin, Islamically and legally, obviously.

Hence, this argument of UUCSA seems doubtful. Are they lying over a lie? And even if for argument’s sake let’s say that no lies were spoken, a student who openly and brazenly disobeys the Shari’ah and the Ta’leem of his Ustaad loses ALL integrity and honesty, Islamically! This is the exact case in this scenario, where a student is opposing his Ustaad in this issue and many other previous issues which the student has not yet issued any withdrawal or apology thus far, as per the information at hand.

UUCSA says, “UUCSA will continue with its constructive and positive efforts, guided by the vision of its founding fathers…”

Our brief comment: Does closing the Masaajid, participating in interfaith meetings and now, opposing Shar’ee Laws of Nikaah, etc. classify as ‘constructive and positive efforts’??? In fact, these are efforts to destroy the Shari’ah! What ‘constructive and positive efforts’ did UUCSA make in their SHUTTING THE MASAAJID last year? In fact, they went against all the Ahaadith pertaining to the virtues of Salaah in the Masaajid. The Ahaadith mention that evil, disasters and Azaab are withheld or removed from communities as long as a group of men frequent the Masjid.

What constructive and positive effort did UUCSA make when closing the Masaajid? With closed Masaajid, there was and is no way and scope to combat any virus, evil, unrest – looting and rioting. Thus, closing the Masaajid is NOT constructive and positive efforts.

Lastly, the names of the honourable and illustrious Ulama-e-Haq mentioned by UUCSA should not be misused. We ask anyone who knew even a glimpse of the lives of these honourable Ulama-e-haq WHO HAVE PASSED AWAY, “If they were alive today, would they have endorsed the closing of the Masaajid, attending interfaith meetings where Kufr is dinned into the ears of the audience and fight in favour of the MMB Bill?” Answer this question  in the light of the love for the Sunnah these illustrious Ulama-e-Haq had, Fikr (concern) for Islaah they had and the theme of their Bayaans they adopted in the Majaalis they conducted! No man – even a non-Aalim – who is in love with the Sunnah will call for the demolishment of the Deen!

We make Du’a that UUCSA reforms, becomes a party of the Haq and stands for the preservation of the Shari’ah, the Haq, the Qur’an and the Ta’leem of our seniors, Aameen.
