JUSA’s HARAAM 100-Year ‘Anniversary’ Celebration

Imitating The Kuffaar

Question: Currently, JUSA is celebrating their 100 years. This is said on the basis of the following:

  1. A logo is designed in the theme of their 100-years of existence.
  2. Their recent articles have the theme of 100-years and their new logo.
  3. A cake with their 100-year logo was seen making its rounds. JUSA never deny, clarify or issue a retraction regarding it which means that their cake-da’wat of their 100-year celebration was true.
  4. JUSA’s members and particularly, M. Ebrahim Bham are going around, town-to-town, speaking at Musaajied about their 100-years.

In light of the above, kindly answer the following:

  1. Are anniversaries Halaal to be celebrated?
  2. Is it permissible, for example, when our local Musjied turns ‘10 years’ old, for us to draw the Musjied’s picture on a cake loaded with icing, etc., to be served at our Musjied AGM?
  3. Can a supposedly deeni organization have their statements painted with their anniversary’s themes on them, thereby imitating the Kuffaar who celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, etc.?
  4. Is it right for JUSA to go town-to-town taking credit of the great qurbaanie and sacrifices of the true ulema of the former Jamiat Transvaal while the current JUSA’s recent history has been terribly tainted with the recent doings of the current ‘runners of JUSA’s show’?
  5. Kindly offer any other naseehat in the above matter as to this day, JUSA is selectively opting to remain dumb on making public Taubah for their recent crimes in deen, yet opt to brag about their 100-year history.

Answer: One must remember that of recent, JUSA has concocted a ‘new version’ of Islaam which suits the politicians, modernists, interfaithers, liberals, feminists, LGBTQ gang, Shi’a Kuffaar, modernists, liberals, Barelwis and everyone and anyone besides those who wish to follow in the footsteps of Rasoolullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam). This ‘version’ of Islaam invented by JUSA has also been referred to by our Ulama as a ‘watered down’ version of Islaam. And this Baatil-type, concocted and watered down alien-Islaam goes against the grain of the Qur’an Majeed, wherein Allah Ta’ala instructs the believers, “O Believers! Enter into Islaam fully (in totality).  And do not follow in the footsteps of Shaitaan. Indeed, he is your open enemy.” (Baqarah, Aayat 208)

One learns from this Aayat that Shaitaan inspires his cronies and agents to concoct various versions of Islaam, hence the Command NOT to follow in his footsteps. JUSA’s recent doings are proofs for this. In their modern and watered down version of Islaam, they are on the road to legalize everything the 1400-year-old Shari’ah has made Haraam.

The following are the answers to your queries:

  1. Just like birthday celebrations, anniversary celebrations, cakes, anniversary and birthday themes, etc. are totally Haraam. Eating a cake, issuing statements in such themes, etc. are Haraam and direct imitation of the Kuffaar, the politicians and the West. The Akaabireen Ulama didn’t brag, boast, bleat, moo, meow and crow about their wonderful and powerful sacrifices, achievements, etc.
  2. By JUSA’s indulgence in their Haraam mimicking of those they follow, they are opening the floodgates of Fitnah. If the Ulama-e-Haq don’t make Nahi Anil Munkar (forbid evil), very soon, Masaajid and local Hifz Madaaris as well as Makaatib may start celebrating their 5-years, 10-years, etc. anniversary-themed celebrations.
  3. Deeni organisations don’t theme their logos, statements and articles, etc. with Haraam anniversary celebration themes. Yes, politicians have massive money-squandering anniversary bashes for which they hire huge stadiums which can cater for hundred thousand people. This is the way of life of the Kuffaar, not Muslims.
  4. If JUSA was going town-to-town apologizing and making public Taubah using the various Masaajid’s Mimbars for their recent crimes, then we would have said it was fine. However, their silence on their recent crimes is deafening. Instead of bragging in Allah’s Houses – the same House JUSA stabbed in the ‘back’ by opposing the Ulama who requested the court to open during lockdown – JUSA should go town-to-town to apologize to the Ummah and making Taubah from:
  5. JUSA’s secretary general making Istikhfaaf (treating lightly an important aspect of Deen) of the Great Jumu’ah Salaah by saying, ‘just one Jumu’ah’.
  6. Shutting down the Masaajid 5-days before lockdown.
  7. Supporting the lesbians in court.
  8. Promoting interfaith.
  9. Going against the majority of Darul-Ulooms and Ulama-e-Haq.
  10. Discarding Hijaab openly, repeatedly and audaciously.
  11. Sitting side-by-side with women in TV-studios – Dajjaal’s office.
  12. Performing Janaazah Salaah with Kuffaar as ‘Musallis’.
  13. Concocting a weird Tafseer of Surah Kafiroon to bolster their interfaith agenda.
  14. Taking inspiration at a Shirki-Haraam statue of Mandela.
