3. At the sighting of the Rajab Hilaal, the Du’a for Rajab, Sha’baan and Ramadhaan is then read.
4. When Sha’baan’s Hilaal is sighted, the 15th Sha’baan is counted easily. On the eve of 15 Sha’baan, Ibaadat is made. On the 15th day of Sha’baan, a Sunnah fast is kept.
5. Ramadhaan’s Hilaal determines the first Taraweeh, Sehri and day of fasting.
6. Shawwaal’s Hilaal makes us aware of the completion of the fasting of Ramadhaan and observing the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
7. Shawwaal’s Hilaal is also the beginning of the months of Hajj. Thus, the Hujjaaj will prepare themselves for the journey of a lifetime – Hajj.
8. Thul-Hijjah’s Hilaal clarifies the Days of Hajj for the Hujjaaj and the Day of Qurbani for those at home.

The above brief points denotes the important role of the Hilaal.
