When the Hujjaaj return

Hazrat Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنهما states that Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم  said:

“When you meet the Haaji, greet him, shake his hands and instruct him to seek forgiveness for  you before he enters his home, for undoubtedly he is forgiven.” (Ahmed)

Note: While the Hujjaaj return, extreme care should be taken regarding the Law of Hijaab. Men are not allowed to shake hands or even greet verbally to a non-Mahram female even if she has just returned from Haj and vice versa. 

The same Law applies regarding cousins. Female cousins are non-Mahram to male cousins and vice versa. Therefore, even if one’s female cousin is soon returning from Haj, be mindful of Hijaab.
